Meet the Judges

All of the judges below are from Kansas City and maintain award winning KC websites. Please read the biographies of the judges to see who evaluated the winner's sites. I felt it was important to keep the panel of judges on a local level. It is with great appreciation to had these KC Webmasters as the KCBDA Panel of Judges.

Tom Powell

Webmaster of KC's Blue Diamond Web Awards
I have been creating commercial and personal websites for six years now. Currently, I am maintaining two Intranet websites at a large corporation and three commercial sites on the Internet. Besides being the webmaster and evaluator for KCBDWA, I am also the owner/evaluator of Surreal Web Awards and site of the year evaluator for BTDesign Awards, currently rated a World's Top Award, level 10 by UAG, and level 5.0 by Award Sites!

My academic background includes graphics courses at the Kansas City Art Institute, Indiana University, and a graduate of the Electronics Institue. I have done a variety of commercial graphics from business logos to CD cover designs. I created the KCBD award site because of the scarcity of sites that offer web awards exclusive for Kansas City Websites.
