Prologue
John: "There are hundreds, if not thousands of web sites based right here in the Kansas City metro. Finding the very best, well it can be tough. After all, who's to say what's more important - the music scene, the art scene, or the sports scene."

KC Award Introduction
John: "Well now a new award is being offered to local sites and you get the chance to choose who's the best. It's called the Kansas City Blue Diamond Award and you'll find it at kcawards.com. Sort of the Oscar for Kansas City web sites."
Screenshot: A series of screenshots displaying the awards and close up of main title along with Award Sites! and CEM graphic links.

My Interview Begins
Tom Powell: "A set criteria is placed for applicants to apply for this award. And if they meet or excel this criteria, they are awarded an award image that they can place on their site."
Screenshot: Close up of me sitting down. Funny how TV brings out every facial imperfection, wrinkles, and gray hair!

Criteria Highlighted
John: "The criteria includes simple things like site appearance, spelling, grammar, and general interest."
Screenshot: Close up of criteria page.

Regional Content Value
Tom: "The most important criteria is that the site does have to contain content that would be of public interest to the audience of Kansas City or the Heartland region."
John: "So if all the criteria are met, the site is put on a top ten list where voters then choose their favorites. But that's not all!"
Screenshot: Me again. Looking a little less nervous this time. Also displays Top Ten page and where to vote.

Top Ten Favorite KC Sites
Tom: "Then at the end of the year, the top ten favorite KC sites are selected. And winners of those ten sites are given a Top Ten Award. Then the high scorer of the top ten is given the actual Kansas City Site of the Year Award."
Screenshot: Last shot of me (thank goodness), then displays close up KC Site of the Year Award.

Award Winners Highlighted
John: "More than twenty Kansas City websites currently have the Blue Diamond Award. Including the Renaissance Festival home site, Kansas City Cooking, and kansascity.com, among others. So if you are looking for the best, or you think you have the best, check out kcawards.com"
