AMZ's MISSION
Avatar Movie Zone was created by T. F. Powell to collect the resources leading up to the presentation of Avatar and there after. Others have volunteered to contribute their part such as links to resources, editorials, and more (listing below).
So often when sites report news online, some articles seem to have expiration dates, never to be seen again. By collecting these articles and archiving them here in their original structure, fans/AMZ visitors can view the history of Avatar from it's early beginnings to current related events.
All articles are kept in their original presentation in respect to the authors as much as possible along with a credited link to the site and the author if available. The credited link remains in courtesy for the original source site even if they have expired the article.
Some articles were edited to display Avatar information only. For example, if Zoe Saldana was discussing her upcoming projects, she may be talking about both Star Trek and Avatar. To maintain focus on our site's main topic, Avatar, we did not include the Star Trek content (or kept to a minimum), but the text related to Avatar is in it's orignal structure.
We keep blogger style added commentary to a minimum. The history of Avatar is not about the staff being able to edit an article to our liking. After fans have seen Avatar, they will search the web for the background of Avatar online. They can enter the AMZ site knowing that the history they read of Avatar here, is what actually took place on the web in it's original presentation.
But that's not to say the staff haven't contributed their own articles on Avatar. AMZ's orignal articles were written from scratch with proper research along with reference links, such as Tom's "Avatar Inspirations" and Chris' "Avatar: An Unpredictable Box Office Behemoth?" We also encourage fans and visitors to submit their own articles along with fan art and fan posters.
It goes without saying we wish Avatar to have a following for years to come and AMZ will do it's best to provide a well rounded represention of Avatar online.
