Our First Glimpse of Pandora From Space

October 6, 2009 - We have seen pieces of Pandora from space in previous images, but here is a snapshot from the official Avatar i-Tag site that shows the globe in its entirety.
In Cameron's scriptment, he explains that Pandora has more of a teal color tint to it than Earth, but it appears he has chosen to make it more like Earth's twin.
Other than different shaped continents, Pandora has the identical swirls of clouds, blue oceans, and greenish / brownish lands just like Earth. However, the Na'vi have a much more scenic view with the giant gas planet Polyphemis dominating the Pandoran skies. Here's a demo of the Avatar -Tag from YouTube.com.
