Cinefex is a quarterly magazine devoted to motion picture visual effects. Since 1980, it has been the bible for effects professionals and enthusiasts, covering the field like no other publication. Profusely illustrated in color, with in-depth articles and interviews, Cinefex offers a captivating look at the technologies and techniques behind many of our most popular and enduring movies.
"We are moving toward a time when the only limitation on a filmmaker is his or her imagination. But that will only be true if we stay abreast of the skills and technology the visual effects industry has to offer. Cinefex is the one true source. Read it to expand your vision." . . . . . James Cameron

AMZ Forum Member ADC on the TotalFilm and SFX Magazines: There is a Total Film souvenir issue out today in the UK, and if you're at an airport or city centre train station you should be able to pick up the t-shirt pack at WHSmith stores. The tee is simple but suprisingly fair quality for a free gift. One size only, Large. I'm usually a Small to Medium but it looks ok on me and will fit people quite a bit bigger. Also in the pack is a free A4, 36 page James Cameron 'King of the World' supplement, I have uploaded some of the pages here. The paper is nice quality, too. It's pretty cool.
The Avatar feature in Total film runs 8 pages and from what I can make out, most of it is being serialised on the TF website (as posted on the front page of this website all this week). So if you can't get a copy where you are, know that at least you can read most of it online anyway. A smaller pack is also available with a smaller size edition of Total Film (only the mag is smaller, not the tee or supplement). Both packs are £3.99, so it's a really good buy for UK folk.
SFX for those who don't know, is a sci-fi mag here in the UK. It's made by Future who also publish TF. Their new issue, aslo seen here, comes in a metallic bag that also houses a metallic poster, A2 size. This free gift is available with all SFX issues whereas the TF pack is exclusive to WHSmith stores and then only at city railways and airports as mentioned.
Everywhere else, TF only comes with the free JC supplement.
